COVID-19 Update: November 2020

The safety and health of our patients and staff is always paramount, especially during these uncertain pandemic times. As we are seeing another rise in confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus in our area, we would like to assure you that we continue to use the recommended safety precautions to ensure your safety at our office.

In addition to these precautions, we also kindly request your assistance in the overall safety of our patients and staff by adhering to the following guidelines:

1. If your child is not allowed to go to school because of a quarantine, yet you feel it is OK to bring your child to their appointment, please let our staff know the exact circumstances of the quarantine before entering the office.
2. If you have been instructed to quarantine for any reason by a healthcare provider, employer, or the health department, that means you should NOT come for your appointment in our office. Please let us know as soon as possible if you receive notification.
3. Masks must be worn by patients and their family members while in the office.

We ask that you reschedule an appointment if you or a family member meet any of the following criteria:

1. You have been exposed to a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 and you were less than 6 feet away for more than 15 minutes.
2. You have any symptoms of fever, cough, shortness of breath, headache, sore throat, abdominal pain, chills, or loss of taste or smell.
3. Within the last 14 days, anyone in your household has been in close contact with anyone who has a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19.

We understand that the current state of the pandemic creates inconveniences in both our personal and professional lives, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate the changing circumstances.

In cases where appointments must be canceled due to exposure or illness, we are happy to provide your appointment through telehealth video conferencing through Zoom or Facetime.

We are currently waiving the fee for missed appointments that are canceled due to COVID-19 related reasons as long as we are contacted prior to the appointment.

Continuing Our COVID Safety Precautions

• No more than two patients are scheduled for therapy at any given time. This allows the ability to maintain six-foot social distancing between all patients, as therapists coordinate to ensure no two patients are in the same room at the same time.
• One exam patient with the doctor is scheduled at a time, and exams take place in a room separate from other patients in the office.
• All therapy and exam equipment is sanitized between every patient seen in our office.
• Masks are worn by all members of our staff at any time patients are in the office.
• Staff temperatures are taken every morning before the start of patient care.
• Social distancing is maintained between staff members throughout the workday.
• Patient temperatures and screenings are taken at the beginning of each appointment.
